[edit] Invading a planet from a inactive player

 + Find an invadable system.
  • Go to sector view.
  • Click on active stars near you.
  • Protected systems are NOT invadable.
+ Fill a transport full of troops.
  • You need at least 15000 troops.
  • You may need more than one LT.
  • Regular Transports hold 26250 troops so you only need one of them.
 +Go to system Identified.
  • I prefer to use another ship to scout out systems and make a route to the planet.
+ Find Planet in system that is invadable.
+ Go to planet with transport.
+ INVADE button appears below planet information.
 + INVADE!
  • Occasionally you will get an error saying you can't invade for 24 hours.
  • Don't believe it.
  • Keep trying.
  • OR you can give your transport to someone else to invade for you.
  • Be sure to talk to them before you give them the ship.
 + When Invading

  • Civilian will fight along side with troops but will depend on approval.
  • All civilian(that fights) and troops need to be eliminated.
  • If fail invasion, there will be same amount of civilian defending.
+ Redistribute workers and civs to make it grow.
  • You may even want to build a shipyard and build another transport.
  • Reg transports can be build on a starting planet if you bring in a little electronics and power cells.

[edit] Claiming a Planets

To claim a planet in another system, click Sector View and click an adjacent sector and then choose lightspeed. Once in a sector with unclaimed planets, you can move to them and claim them.

One method of scouting for planets to claim beyond your sector is to send just your cruiser to find a suitable system and planet. Then follow with your colony ship and transports carrying your population. This saves both Hydrogen and turns for the ships

Certain planets cannot be claimed. These include Proto planets, Gas Giants, Barren planets, Demon planets and several more types. You also cannot claim planets in systems you cannot claim. Don't claim stage 5 systems, as they may blow up on you Simply claiming planets is not enough in order to produce a thriving colony you require several things. First, civilians to breed and produce a poplation. Second, workers, these will keep the civilians alive and produce water and food. Third, troops, these will protect you against attacks from envious players that want your planets.

I was recommended to put these amounts on planets being colonized.

10,450 Civilians. The reasoning was that more would breed too rapidly and cause starvation. Less wouldn't populate fast enough. Also to have more Civilians then workers and troops to pay for them.

10,000 Workers. The workers produce the water and food to keep the civilians alive. You will need about this many to collect any planet resources but will probably need more to build things, you can either increase both Civilian and workers to do this or just move in workers to do the build then move them back off the planet.

50 Troops. This is variable, but this is what they advised me to place there. Note: also remember to place some money on the planet to help start it off as Workers and Troops require money to pay them, if you do not have enough money they will convert back to Civilians. Also not having enough workers to make food and water will kill off extra Civilians till you can feed them all.

[edit] Claiming Systems

  • Note: the system you start off in is already claimed by you.

To claim a system, you must first be in an unclaimed system and own more planets in that system then anyone else. Then go on Sector View and click "claim system."

Up to now, you can only claim systems in stage 4 or 5. We don't know if it stays like this or is a matter of change.
