[edit] Food & Water

Food & Water are no longer produced by the Civilians. In the Work page you now use Turns to have your Workers produce Food & Water. The amount that they can produce per Turn is based on your Planet Type. Your Bio Dome Level will increase Food produced and your Reservoir Level will increase your Water produced.

[edit] Who requires Food & Water

Before your Workers and Troops required Food & Water every hour but now they don't.
Every hour your Population tries to grow based on the number of Civilians you have. For example if you have 1,000,000 Civilians you would have a growth of 1,100. But now for every new Civilian that will be created you must have Food & Water for them. If you don't you won't get that new growth. For example if you have 2,000 Food but only 100 Water then of the new 1,100 Civilians only 100 will survive.

[edit] Food & Water reset

All Food & Water in the Game was removed when this update was made and every Planet was given enough in their Reserve for growth for the next 5 days.

[edit] Growth Rates

Before the Growth Rates were based on the Civic Center Level. Now it is based on your Approval Rates. With 100% Approval you will get a growth of 0.011% and with 0% Approval you will only get 0.001%. All new Players now start with an 80% Approval Rating.

[edit] Tweaking

Certain factors may need tweaking to get the ratios correct. Deserts will be the hardest hit by this and without lots of Workers and Turns will need to buy in Food & Water. That's fine but they may need to be given a bonus in terms of resources generated to allow them to trade for the required Food & Water.

[edit] Credits Adjustment

There has been a Credit Adjustment which is based on the new system. This has taken into account those who gained Credits through means other than Taxes. So that I can double check this please PM me if you had 100+ million and gained a large amount of it from means other than Taxes. Selling Points etc.

So that it's easier to tell if your Buildings have been Damaged and need repairs I've changed the way the Buttons display to they reflect the Status.

[edit] GF Version 2 has launched.

This is just going to be a load of details and I'll tidy it up later. Please post questions if you have them. After I've answered them I'll delete your Post. Posts Only simple questions and 1 per Post.

- If you have a GF V1 account don't signup again for GF V2 just login to V2 - You have all your Account details copied over including the Points you had - Points for Ships will come over later as all of the details are recorded - There are changes to the code so please report any errors you find - PM or Message me privately with any Bugs etc - Anyone found to be exploiting any errors will be banned - The starting Resources, Ships, Amounts, Ratios will/may be modified

Tribes - 4 Tribes which are at War with each other - Although you can live in peace if you wish - You cannot use the Planet facilities of any other Tribe - Factions are the Tribe of the Player that founded them - Only Fleets from that Tribe can join that Faction - At the moment you cannot change your Tribe - Tomorrow there will be a Restart button

Population - Your Civs produce Food and Water for themselves - They also produce extra which depends on Planet Type - Your Workers and Troops use this extra - The Workers and Troops also require Wages - Wages come from the Taxes made by Civilians - There is no Ratio of Workers to Civs as there was in V1 - This means you won't come online to find a Population wiped out - Your Population is your Civilians, Workers and Troops - Every hour your Civilians will increase by 0.001%

Fuel - There is only Hydrogen as a Fuel - Ships can collect it from the Systems - Ships can also refuel at Planets (Coming Soon)

Work - Each Planet will allow your Workers to gain different Items - The Items are Helium II, Polymer, Silicon and Spice - The Planet Type will determine how much of each you can get

Mines - There are no longer Asteroids or Platforms - Ores come from the Planets and require a Mine - Each Planet has a random Ratio of each Ore

Gold - Gold is now Refined from Gold Ore and comes from the Mines

Buildings - You can Destory Buildings and get Items back depending on the Status - If you have been playing for less than 24hrs you will get 90% of that back - If you have been playing for less than a week you will get 75% of that back - If you have been playing for more than a week you will get 50% of that back - Don't Downgrade your Civic Center II else the birth rate will stop

Wages - Workers require $2 and Troops require $4 in Wages every hour - If they don't get paid they convert back to Civilians

Taxes - As can set Taxes and this increases income but lowers Approval - Rebels come quickly if you have a low Approval Rating - Without a lot of expensive Troops the Rebels will take your Planet

Items - Your main Planet will start will some basic Resources - Later I will change these and everyone will get extra

Attacking - Attacking works the same as in V1 - A Fleet from another Tribe counts as being at War with them - There is no Boarding in V2 - Disabling will be a Turns Cheap way to disable a Fleet (Coming Soon)

Invading - This is only way to get nPlanets apart from them being given or bought - Civilians will defend their Planet if Invaded - The number of Civs that will act as Troops defends on your Approval Rating - 100% Approval and 1,000,000 Civs is equal to 100,000 Troops - 1% Approval and 1,000,000 Civs is equal to 1,000 Troops

Ships - For the moment there are only 3 Ship Classes - Warships which Attack Ships and Defend Planets - Freighters which move Cargo - Transports which more Civs, Troops and Workers - The Freighter Holds have been reduced from V1 (for the moment) - The Transport Quarters have increased from V1 (for the moment) - There are no Colony Ships, Refuelers or Supply Ships

Routes - There are no Routes in V2 as they aren't needed - There will be a way to store important Locations

Newbie Protection - Everyone starts with 10 days of Newbie Protection - If you Attack or Invade you lose that Protection

Points - Just to confirm that Points for V1 Ships will come over later

Sector View - You may notice with Sector View that some of the Systems are blacked out. This is because only the Systems with Players in are open. You cannot access the Systems which have no Players. Also watch out for leaving Ships in Nebulas as that is where Newbie Systems will appear.

Wrong Tribe - If you select a Tribe and it's full you will be returned to the New Game page. If you click to create a new Fleet again it will have selected the Random Tribe option. If this happens you will have to wait till tomorrow to Restart.

Restarting - This will be available from tomorrow - No Points are lost when restarting

[edit] V1

- Is closed but everything is being kept as a backup. No automated processes will happen so no Systems will go Nova etc. I doubt that V1 will ever open again as the Game is flawed and will just slow the server.

Server Speed - V1 used a load of autoamated scripts which kept the Galaxy going. This made the Game slow at times and would have made having larger numbers of Player very hard. For V2 I've removed nearly all of the automated code and the server should now run faster. This unfortunetly means that V1 cannot be accessed.
