Systems
From Galactic Fleets Wiki
Systems are a group of planets (any amount) with a star. There are terrestrial, marginal, adaptable, pelagic, glaciated, desert, demon, barren, and gas giant planets. All these planets are habitable except gas giant, demon, and barren. Each has its own population growth and raw resource(spice, polymer, silicon, etc.). Although a system, the planets cooridinates do not change. The only way to gain more systems is by invasion.

[edit] V2 Explanation
Since the openning of V2, there were only 3 types of stages, Nebula, Living, and Red Star. This is because to get newbies into the game. Here are the stages: Nebula: Nebulas lasts 1 day until avaiable when newbies come in to join the game. Living: After the newbie comes in, it will not go nova. Nova: If that player becomes inactive, it will go nova and stays like that for 1 day. Beware: Anything will be destroyed if within this system. Get them out if its red.
Empty systems do not have a Stage. All other Systems (Stage 1-5) are marked and this map will never change as empty Systems cannot become active Systems and active Systems cannot become empty Systems.
From now on empty systems are called 'Null Systems' and all other systems Stage 1-5 are called 'Active Systems'.
Each system will eventually go nova, but the process happens after going through these stages. Stage 3 residents should beware.
[edit] Stage 1 Systems
(Nebula)Life Span:newbie inhabits.
Contains no planets
created when a red system explodes
can only turn into a living system after a newbie inhabits it
(24 hours waiting period after exploding)
[edit] Stage 2 Systems
(Living)Life Span:as long as the player owning system is active
Can contain the following types of Planets:
Adaptable Planets Barren Planets are uninhabitable Demon Planets are uninhabitable Desert Planets Gas Planets are uninhabitable Glaciated Planets Marginal Planets Pelagic Planets Terrestrial Planets
[edit] Stage 3 Systems
(Dying)Life Span:24 Hours.
Can invade planets, but 14.40 CE after it became a Dying system it will explode
Any ships in it will be destroyed
Dying systems cannot be invaded when the inactive player is still in noobie protection, unless the noobie was transfered the system
[edit] System Navigation
The system view is 20x20 Grids, numbered 1 to 400.
Light Speed is used to move around in a System. Uses turns and also Hydrogen. Hydrogen is collected in space.
You can use hydrogen to move from a Grid in a system to an adjacent Grid only in the same system. You can move from a system to an adjacent system in another sector using Hyper Jump.
