[edit] Warships

Warships are ships that are used to defend a players holdings or assault an enemy. They are used sometimes in invasions and are the first line of defense against a invasion from an aggressor. There are more ships then just warships, like the transport and freighter classes, but you'll need your own warships to defend them in times of conflict.

Warships usually requires a lot of supplies and points. Click on their names for the stats for each Warship.

[edit] Ship Class Bonuses

Corvette Class: Due to small size Corvette Class Warships get a bonus when attacking or defending against Fighters (Used on Carriers).

Frigate Class: Frigates are escort ships. They are allocated a defensive bonus when grouped with, and defending, Non-Warships and Carriers. Good for defensive, transport, and economy fleets. They receive no bonus for attacking.

Destroyer Class: Destroyers are the hunter/killer warships in Galactic Fleets. They receive an attack bonus against non-warships (Including Freighters, Transports, Dropships, and Carriers) and are best used in "Packs" to seek out freighter, transport, and invasion fleets. Cruiser Class: Cruisers are your all around general purpose ships. When creating a strong fleet many players will use Cruisers to fill in the gaps between the smaller specialist ships and the larger Captial Ships. Cruisers receive a slight damage output bonus if they are the attacker, however they do less damage if they are the defender.

Carrier Class: Carriers provide heavy damage output when attacking fleets of larger warships and capital ships. Fleets without Corvette protection are at significant risk to fleets with Carriers. Carriers are poor on the defense because they rely on their fighters for defense and it advised to group them with Frigates and Dreadnoughts for their defense bonuses. Keep in mind that when Carriers loose their fighter protection the only way to repair it is to load more fighters on board the Carrier, and that requires a barracks to first activate the fighters before they can be loaded onto the Carrier. Carriers need a supply chain to follow up in order to keep them supplied.

Battleship Class: The first of the true heavy capital ships. Battleships have a moderate bonus to damage output when attacking. Due to their relatively large number of guns this gives them a significant edge in damage output as the attacker in fleet engagements over other ships.

Dreadnought Class: The Dreadnought is the largest war ship available to own in the known Galaxy. It is blessed with a moderate bonus to damage output when defending against attack. Due to its large number of guns the moderate bonus is quickly multiplied into a virtual wall of plexisteel and railgun rounds which is exceedingly difficult to shoot through.

Flag Ship Status: Only one ship can be designated to have Flag Ship Status. The Flag Ship gets a special bonus in combat of reducing the accuracy of the enemy fleet by 10%. Additionally when ever you log in you are immediately brought to the fleet in which your flag ship is stationed.
